You Distract Yourself Instead of Facing the Real Stuff

Netflix marathons? TikTok rabbit holes? These are not breaks, you’re not relaxing—you're using it to escape the thoughts that you've been avoiding.

You are hoping it would drown the noise out, only to realize it comes back to haunt you at 3am.

You Think Emotions Are Weakness

We were taught that emotions make us weak, but you're not a robot. You’ve been pushing your feelings down, thinking they don’t matter or won’t change anything.

But eventually, they bubble up, leaving you carrying this heavy weight and a cloud over you.

You Tie Your Worth to What You Achieve

You’ll Rest Later… But “Later” Never Comes

You keep saying, “Once I get through this, I’ll rest.”

Sis, that’s not how happiness works.

Sometimes, it feels like happiness is just out of reach—tied to a change in circumstances or someone else’s behavior. “If only this were different,” you think, “then I’d finally be happy.”

But when we place our happiness in something outside ourselves, it becomes FRAGILE. Even if it brings us joy for a while, what happens if it changes? Our happiness goes with it.

What if, instead, you could nurture happiness from within—something steady, something that’s yours no matter what happens around you? You deserve that kind of peace. 💛

Here’s the Truth: Happiness Is an Inside Job

I know that sounds cliché, but it’s the REALEST advice I can give you. Happiness isn’t something you find in a paycheck, a milestone, or another person—it’s something you build within.

It is a skill—something you create every day. It grows from the stories you tell yourself: your thoughts, feelings, and actions. These shape how you respond to life.

If the stories you tell yourself are unkind or untrue, life can start to feel heavier than it needs to. But here’s the good news: this is something you can change.
