Self-Confidence Isn't Something You Are Born With!

Self-Confidence Isn't Something You Are Born With!

Tucked within each of us is an untapped reservoir of power - a muscle known as self-confidence.

For some, it's been lying dormant, yearning for that invigorating workout to unleash its true potential.

Confidence is easier described than embraced for some.

If that resonates with you, then read on.

Self-confidence is not something that you're born with. Think of it as a muscle, not an innate trait, but something that we shape, tone, and build over time.

It's something that you nurture through practice, experience and acknowledgment of victories, no matter how seemingly small. But it requires you to get out of your comfort zone and challenge the fears that gripple you.

Each action and victory that comes with facing your fears and embracing discomfort is a rep in the gym of self-confidence.
Your self-confidence is in your hands.

Here are three simple things you can do to build your self-confidence:

  1. Acknowledge your wins. Start with recognizing and celebrating your achievements, no matter how small. This will help you to focus on your strengths and remind yourself of what you're capable of.
  2. Embrace the mirror. Get comfortable with your reflection. Spend some time each day looking at yourself in the mirror and focusing on your positive qualities. Tell yourself what you like about yourself, both inside and out. This will help you to see yourself in a more positive light.
  3. Practice positive self-talk. The words we feed our minds directly influence how we perceive ourselves.  When you catch yourself saying negative things about yourself, challenge those thoughts and replace them with more positive ones. Create a mantra that resonates with your inner champion and say it with conviction!

Building self-confidence takes time and effort, but it's worth it.
And remember, you will make mistakes and doubt yourself so give yourself the grace to learn from them and move on.

You get to create the life you desire and deserve with self-confidence.
